Link / Unlink Contacts - LG G Pad™ X8.3

Here's how to link or unlink duplicate contacts in your G Pad X8.3.
The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources ( Gmail™ , Microsoft® Exchange, Facebook® , new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error it can be separated back into individual contacts.

Join Contacts

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps
    Contacts
    .
  2. Tap the appropriate contact.
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
  4. Tap
    Merge
    .
  5. Tap the appropriate contact.
    If the preferred contact doesn't appear under Suggested contacts, tap
    Show all contacts
    .

Separate Contacts

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps
    Contacts
    .
  2. Tap the appropriate contact.
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
  4. Tap
    Separate
    .
  5. From the Separate contacts prompt, tap
    Yes
    .
