ASUS ZenPad Z10 - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your ASUS ZenPad Z10.
To customize the Home screen on your ASUS ZenPad™ Z10, do any of the following:

Add Apps

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can be added to the home screen via a widget.
  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Apps icon
     Apps icon (located at the bottom).
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag the shortcut to the desired home screen then release. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.

Add Widgets

Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank space.
  2. Tap
    WIDGETS
     (located in the upper-left).
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space on the desired screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g. Gmail) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
    1. Tap the folder.
    2. Tap the
      Title bar
       (top of the open folder).
    3. Enter a name then tap
      OK

Remove Apps / Widgets

Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to Remove (located at the top) then release.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Tap Select image or one of the provided images.
    Slide the
    Transparent status bar
     as desired.
  4. Tap
    Apply
    .
  5. Select one of the following:
    • Home screen
    • Lock screen
    • Home and lock screen
