Global Modem USB730L - Turn SIM PIN On / Off

Here's how to turn the SIM PIN lock code for your Global Modem USB730L on or off.
Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so service can't be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locating the 4G SIM PIN / PUK - My Verizon Website to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  1. Connect the USB modem to the computer then access the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the left menu, click
    Settings
    .
  3. Click the
    SIM tab
    .
  4. From the 'Desired Action' dropdown menu, click "Turn on PIN lock" to enable or "Turn off PIN lock" to disable.
  5. From the 'Enter current PIN' field, enter the current SIM PIN.
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  6. Click
    Save Changes
     (located in the lower-right).
