ASUS ZenPad™ Z8s - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure mobile Wi-Fi hotspot settings (password, allowed devices, etc.) on your ZenPad Z8s.

From a Home screen, navigate:

Settings

Mobile Hotspot and Tethering Mobile Hotspot icon

Tap the

Set up Mobile Hotspot

Set up the following then tap

Save

Network name (e.g. Verizon-P00J-xxxx).

By default, xxxx are the last 4 digits of of the Wi-Fi MAC address.

Hide my device

Enabled when a check mark is present.

Security

None

If presented with a Warning screen, tap

Continue

WPA2 PSK

Password

Show password

Enabled when a check mark is present.

Tap

Advanced options

to:

Select or change the AP Band

Disable Mobile Hotspot when inactive.

Select one of the following:

Never

After 5 minutes

After 10 minutes

After 20 minutes

After 30 minutes

After 60 minutes
