Frequent account syncing can reduce battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps icon Apps icon
    Settings Settings icon
    Accounts

  2. Tap
    Google
    .
  3. From the Accounts section, tap the appropriate email address.
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  4. Tap the appropriate data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Gmail, etc.) to turn on on switch or off off switch.
  5. To perform a manual sync:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
       Menu icon (upper-right).
    2. Tap
      Sync now
