KYOCERA Cadence LTE - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, etc.) on your Cadence.

Set up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  2. Select
    Tools and
    Settings
     Settings icon.
  3. Navigate:
    Settings
     >
    Wireless and networks
     >
    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
     then press the
    center button
     to toggle On.
  5. Select
    Set
     >
    OK.
  6. Select
    Set up Mobile Hotspot.
    Mobile Hotspot must be on to access setup.
  7. From the Setup Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Netowrk name (SSID)
      To hide your connection from other devices, navigate to Hide my phone then press
      left soft key
       to choose Check.
    • Security
      • WPA2 PSK
      • Open
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Show password
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Broadcast channel (e.g. Auto 1 - 11).
  8. Select
    Save
    .

Connected devices

  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu

    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot

  4. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
     then press the
    center button
     to toggle On.
  5. Select
    Set
     >
    OK
    .
  6. Highlight
    Connected devices
     and press the
    right soft key
     to select Options then Advanced.
    Restricts which devices are allowed to connect.
  7. Select
    Manage Devices
    .
    • Allow all devices.
  8. Toggle On or Off.
  9. Allowed devices
  10. To add a device:
    1. Select
      Add device
      .
    2. Enter the MAC address and device name (optional) then select
      Save
      .
  11. Select
    Allow all devices
     to enable or disable.
    Choose On or Off.
