KYOCERA Cadence LTE - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to lock / unlock and edit your SIM PIN on your Cadence.
Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so that it cannot be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, a PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) must be obtained from Verizon Wireless. Ensure a SIM card is properly inserted. Refer to Remove SIM Card for additional assistance.

Lock SIM card

  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu

    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

    Phone Settings
    Security
    .
  3. Select
    Others
    .
  4. Select
    SIM card lock
    .
  5. Select
    On
    .
  6. Select an option then select
    SET
    .
    Unlocked
    Enter the SIM Unlock code then select
    Off
    .
    Locked
    Enter the SIM Unlock code then select
    On
    .

Change SIM PIN

  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
