View / Restrict Data Usage by App - LG G Pad™ X8.3

Here's how to view / restrict the amount of data an app uses on your G Pad X8.3.
Some apps depend upon background data (transferring data when not directly in use). Restricting background data may cause those apps to stop functioning unless a Wi-Fi connection is available.
  1. From a Home screen, tap
    Apps
     (at the bottom).
  2. From the Apps tab, tap
    Settings
     Settings icon .
  3. Tap
    Data Usage
     .
  4. Tap an app (below the usage graph) then view usage.
    To restrict the app from using data in the background, tap
    Restrict background data
     to enable.
    Enabled when a checkmark is present.
  5. If presented with a "Restrict background data" message, after reviewing the message tap
    OK
     .
