Samsung Chromebook Plus - Add a Wi-Fi Network

Here's how to add a Wi-Fi network to your Chromebook Plus.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps icon Apps icon
    Settings Settings icon
    .
  2. Tap or click
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on Switch on then tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
    If the preferred network isn't listed, it can be added manually.
  4. If presented, enter the appropriate password then tap
    Connect
    .
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap
    Show password
     Show password icon.

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network admin for assistance.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps icon
    Settings Settings icon
    .
  2. Tap or click
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on Switch on.
  4. Tap
    Add Wi-Fi
     Add Wi-Fi icon (below list of available networks).
  5. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate name.
  6. From the Security field, tap the
    Dropdown menu
     (to the right).
  7. Tap one of the following security options:
    If using an Open network (None), skip to step 9.
    • None
    • WEP
    • PSK (WPA or RSN)
    • EAP
  8. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
    To view the password as it is being entered, tap (check)
    Show password
    .
  9. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap
    Save
    .
