Alcatel Avalon™ - Power Up in Safe Mode

Here's how to boot your Avalon into Safe Mode to help determine if an app is causing it to freeze, reset or run slowly.
Safe Mode puts your phone in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slowly.
An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the
    Power button
     (on the right edge) to power on the device.

  3. When the 'Hello' logo appears, press and hold the
    Volume Down button
     (located above the Power button).

  4. When the device displays 'Safe mode' in the lower-left, release the Volume Down button.

  5. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
