moto z4 - Set Up Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up fingerprint recognition on your moto z4.
  • A fingerprint is utilized to unlock the device.
  • For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  • Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    Security Security and Location icon
    .
  3. From the Device Security section, tap
    Fingerprint
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    Set up
    .
    Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. Read the warning then tap
    GOT IT
    .
  6. Place your finger on the sensor until it vibrates then lift.
    Repeat this step as necessary until the process is complete.
    For greater accuracy, finger placement should vary slightly each time.
  7. Tap DONE or ADD ANOTHER.
