Here's how to sync Google email, contacts, etc. on your moto g7 play.
If you need to sync data (e.g., email, contacts, calendar, etc.) for a Gmail™ (Google™ account on your moto g7 play, follow these step by step instructions.
Frequent account syncing can reduce battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    Accounts
    .
  3. Select the appropriate Gmail address.
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  4. Tap
    Account sync
    .
  5. Tap the appropriate data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Gmail, etc.) to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  6. To perform a manual sync:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
       Menu icon (upper-right).
    2. Tap
      Sync now
