If you need to add an existing Google™ (Gmail™ account to your device, follow these step-by-step instructions.

From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.

Navigate:

Settings

Passwords & accounts

Tap

Add Account

then tap

Google

If prompted, enter current unlock method.

Enter the appropriate Gmail address then tap

Enter the appropriate password then tap

If "Try another way to sign in" appears, select a method to validate your account.

To continue, review the 'Add phone number' prompt then tap 'Yes, I'm in' or 'Skip'.

Review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap

I agree

Tap the

Backup by Google One switch

to turn on Switch on

or off

then tap

If necessary, tap the

Close icon

or swipe up from the bottom of the screen to exit.
