Fossil Gen 5 LTE Smartwatch - Add a Wi-Fi Network

Here's how to connect your Fossil Gen 5 LTE Smartwatch to a Wi-Fi network.
Ensure the software on your Fossil Gen 5 LTE Smartwatch is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.

Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network

  1. From the watch screen, press the
    Power / Home button
     to open the apps screen.
    Home button
  2. Tap the
    Settings icon
     Settings icon.
  3. Tap
    Connectivity
    .
  4. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  5. Tap
    Add network
    .
  6. Tap the desired available Wi-Fi connection.
    If the preferred network isn't listed, it can be added manually.
  7. Tap one of the following:
    • Enter on phone
    • Enter on watch
  8. Enter the Password (if required) then tap the
    Done icon
     Done icon.
  9. Tap
    Connect
    .

Manually Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network admin for assistance.
  1. From the watch screen, press the
    Power / Home button
     to open the apps screen.

  3. Tap
    Connectivity

  4. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  5. Tap
    Add network
    .
  6. Tap
    Add hidden network
    .
  7. Read the disclaimer, then tap
    Open on phone
     to continue setup on your smartphone.
  8. Tap
    Network name
     then enter the name of the desired network.
  9. Tap
    Security
     then select the security type (e.g., WEP, WPA/WPA2).
  10. If prompted, tap
    Password
     then enter the password.
  11. Tap
    Connect
