Arris NVG558 Router - Firewall - Access Control

Here's how to configure the access control portion of your firewall on your NVG558 router.
  1. Sign in to the Admin WebGUI then click
    Firewall
    .
    You must be connected to the network to access the admin page.
  2. Click
    Access Control
    .
  3. From the 'Website Blocking' section, enter the URL of a website you want to block then click
    Add Website
    .
    The table shows all blocked websites.
    Click
    Delete
     to remove a website from the list.
  4. From the 'Time of Day Profiles' section, click
    Edit
     then configure the options. When finished, click
    Add
     to profile:
    • Profile Name
      : Enter the name of a new profile and click
      Add new profile
      .
    • Multiple Days
      : Choose Every Day, Weekdays, or Weekends.
    • Days of the Week
      : Check or uncheck days as needed to set up your profile.
    • Access Begins at
      : Choose Enabled All day, Blocked All Day, or a time of day.
    • Access Ends at
      : Choose a time of day later than the beginning time.
