Nokia 8 V 5G UW - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile Hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Nokia 8 V 5G UW.

Set Up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
    If prompted, tap
    OK
    .
  4. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
     then configure the following as needed
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Security
      • WPA2 Personal
      • None
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Select AP Band
  5. Tap
    SAVE

  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot

  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     On icon (upper-right) then tap
    Advanced
    .
  5. Tap
    Timeout settings
    .
    Sets how long before the hotspot turns off after no activity.
  6. Select an option:
    • Never
    • 5 Minutes
    • 10 Minutes
    • 15 Minutes
    • 20 Minutes
    • 30 Minutes
    • 60 Minutes
