Samsung Galaxy A12 - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / wi-fi Hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your Galaxy A12.

Configure Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Configure
    ./uicontrol>.
  5. Configure any of the following:
    • Network name
    • Security
      This option can be set to Open or WPA2 PSK.
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Band
      This option can be set to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred.
  6. To hide your Mobile Hotspot's name, tap
    Advanced
     then tap the
    Hidden network switch
     to turn on Turn on icon.
  7. Tap
    Save
     (lower-right).

    Turn off when no device connecter for
     then select an option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.).
