Orbic Chromebook - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Orbic Chromebook.
If you need to add a virtual private network (VPN) to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.) from your Orbic® Chromebook®, follow these step-by-step instructions.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Launcher Launcher icon
    Settings
    Network
    .
  2. Click
    Add connection
    .
  3. Click
    Add built-in VPN
    .
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, click
    OK
    .
  5. From the 'Service name' field, enter the appropriate name.
    Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. From the 'Provider type' field, click the
    Dropdown menu
     Dropdown icon (on the right) then select the VPN type:
    • IPSec (IKEv2)
    • L2TP/IPSec
    • Open VPN
  7. Enter the required info into the applicable fields then click
    Connect
     (lower-right):
    If applicable, click
    Save identity and password
     to turn on On indicator or off Off indicator.
