Here's how to reset the My Verizon password for a One Talk desk phone line if you've forgotten it.
If you've set up a My Verizon password for a One Talk desk phone line and have forgotten the password, it must be reset through My Verizon. Unlike consumer lines, One Talk users are only able to reset their password via the SMS method (email and US mail aren't available options). After entering the phone number and zip code, if the user selects
Verify using mobile number
then clicks Send
, the user receives a text message with a clickable link which continues to the next step in the reset process. However, while some desk phone models can receive the text message, they can't follow the link to the next page. Follow these steps to reset the My Verizon password for a desk phone line:- Install the One Talk mobile app on any wireless device.During initial setup, enter the desk phone number whose My Verizon password you want to reset.
- After the One Talk mobile app is installed and the desk phone number is registered, follow the steps to reset the My Verizon password.The One Talk mobile app allows you to click the link in the text message and you can then continue with the reset process.
