One Talk T64LTE 4G LTE Desk Phone - Use Intercom Key

Here's how to use the intercom key on your One Talk T64LTE 4G LTE Desk Phone.
  • Intercom enables you to place an intercom call that's answered automatically on the contact's phone as long as the contact isn't on an active call.
  • Intercom isn't available on all servers. Contact your system admin for more info.

Place an Intercom Call

  • The target phone plays a warning tone and automatically answers the call in speakerphone (hands-free) mode by default. When the target phone has an active call, the intercom call is answered automatically after the active call ends.
  • The intercom must be enabled and an intercom key must be created before you can use the Intercom feature.
  1. From the Home screen, tap
    Dsskey
    .
  2. Tap the
    Intercom key
    .
  3. Using the dialpad, enter the phone number or extension you want to call then tap
    Dial
    .
If a phone number or extension was entered when the Intercom key was created, pressing the Intercom key automatically calls that number.
Intercom calls can't be placed using the Directory icon. If a contact is selected from the directory during this process, the phone places a normal phone call to the selected contact, rather than an Intercom call.

Answer an Intercom Call

  • By default, when there's an incoming intercom call, the phone plays a notification tone and automatically answers the incoming call.
  • If your phone is set to answer intercom calls with your microphone muted, tap
    Mute
to unmute your microphone before responding.
The following behaviors can be configured in phone settings.
  1. From the Home screen, navigate:
    Dsskey
    Features
    Intercom
    .
    • Intercom Allow
: Allows the phone to automatically answer an incoming intercom call. If you disable this feature, the phone handles an incoming intercom call like a normal incoming call.
Your system admin can set a period of delay time before the phone automatically answers intercom calls.
    • Intercom Mute
: Allows the phone to mute the microphone when incoming intercom calls are answered automatically.
To enable the phone to receive a new incoming call when it already has an active call, make sure Call Waiting is enabled on the phone in advance.
