We all have financial emergencies and times when bills are higher than we thought they'd be. When you can't pay your Verizon mobile bill on time, setting up a payment arrangement can keep your account from collections activity and service interruption.

When you need more time to pay your Verizon mobile bill, you can make an agreement to pay us on a date that's after your bill's due date.
Setting up a payment arrangement:
Let's say your $100 bill is due tomorrow and you're short on funds. You can go to My Verizon website or use the My Verizon app to set up an arrangement to pay $100 next Friday. Or you might be able to divide the payments and pay some of the bill today and the rest next Friday.
The arrangements available to you are based on your account. You may be able to pay your past due balance by:

Yes. You can set up a payment arrangement any time you have a balance on your account, either before or after the account becomes past due.
Before your bill due date: If you already know you can't pay all or some of your bill on time, avoid collections activity and service interruption by setting up a payment arrangement to pay the bill after the original due date.
After your bill due date: You can still set up a payment arrangement. However, any time you go past your due date without payment you might not avoid late fees, collections activity and/or service interruption.
Yes. When you set up a payment arrangement you're letting us know you’re going to be late with payment and that you're taking care of the situation. That keeps you from having your account experience collection activity and from having your Verizon mobile service interrupted.
Keep in mind, you need to make your payment on the payment agreement date to keep past due activity from starting on your account.
Yes. A fee for late payment is still charged to your account any time a past due balance is greater than $7.* A payment arrangement doesn't stop the late fee.
A late payment fee can be charged to your account as early as the day after the original bill's due date. Late fee charges are charged at the rate of 5% of the balance that wasn't paid by the due date or $7 (whichever is greater) or as permitted by law.
For example, if your unpaid balance is $50, each month until you're current, a late fee of $7 is charged to your bill (since 5% of $50 is less than $7).
*In Arizona, the late fee is added if the balance is $10 or greater.

Schedule a payment (also called a future-dated payment): This is when you set a payment to be automatically deducted from your payment method (debit card, credit card, check [EFT]) on a date you choose to pay. You can:
Promise to pay: Setting up a promise to pay is when you choose a date to pay us but you don't schedule any automatic payments. It's up to you to come back and pay us on the date that you chose. You can:

Alternatively you can work with a Customer Service Representative or a Live Chat Representative, who can set up the payment arrangement for you, for a fee of $10.

After you’re finished setting up the payment arrangement online or with the My Verizon app, you get a text and/or an email that confirms your arrangement (based on your notification preferences).

The changes you can make to your payment arrangement depend on your account history with us and display in My Verizon website or the My Verizon app. You options may include:
Payment amount: You can always pay more than the amount you set up in your agreement. If you want to pay less, you have to cancel the entire payment arrangement and set a new payment arrangement with a different amount.
Payment date: You can't change the amount or date for a payment arrangement you set up. Instead, you have to cancel the entire payment arrangement and set a new payment arrangement with a different date.
Payment method: You can change the payment method to any method (e.g., check, credit card, debit card, etc.). You can also change a scheduled payment to a promise to pay or vice versa.

How you make your payment depends on which kind of arrangement you set up:
