Verizon Cloud Content Transfer For New Customers (3:05)
Congratulations on your new Verizon Wireless device! Let's make the transition from your old device as smooth as possible with Verizon Cloud. Verizon Cloud makes it easy and seamless to transfer your contacts, photos, videos and more. Let's get started. If you've recently switched to Verizon Wireless and have a new device, the first thing you need to do is activate it before you can begin to use it. Once your new Verizon Wireless device is activated, you can start the content transfer process. To be compatible, your devices must be running Android™ OS version 2.3 or higher or iOS 6 or higher for iPhone®. You'll need to install the Verizon Content Transfer App on the old device that you wish to transfer your content from. Using the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, search for "Verizon Content Transfer." Once you find the app, download it onto your old device. Next, using your new Verizon device, you'll now need to download the Verizon Cloud App. Open the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and search for "Verizon Cloud." Found it? Good, now download it and you're ready to begin the transfer. First, open the Verizon Content Transfer App on your old device and tap "Get Started." Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your devices. Begin by connecting both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. Once your devices are successfully paired together on the Wi-Fi network, your old device will provide a randomly generated access code. Enter this 4-digit code on your new device. Now that your devices are successfully linked together, you'll be prompted to select the content you wish to transfer. After you complete your content selections, an estimated transfer time is provided. With your content selected, just tap the "Transfer" button. Verizon Cloud will take care of the rest. The app will keep track of the progress. If the transfer process is accidentally stopped, the app will resume from where the transfer left off when you start again. Once the transfer is complete, make sure all of your content has properly copied to your new device. Since your content isn't automatically deleted from your old device during the transfer process, it's a good idea to perform a factory reset on your old device once you've confirmed all of your content has been transferred to your new device. Instructions for a factory reset can be found in your device's user guide. That's it, you're all set! You now have the world at your fingertips. Thanks to Verizon Cloud, all of your valuable content is ready to go on your new device. Enjoy your new Verizon Wireless device!
