ASUS ZenPad™ Z8s - Restart in Safe Mode

Here's how to restart your ZenPad Z8s into Safe Mode to help determine if an app is causing it to freeze, reset or run slowly.
Safe Mode puts your tablet in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slowly.
An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the 'Power off' option appears on the screen then release.

  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     until the 'Reboot to safe mode' prompt appears then release.
  3. From the 'Reboot to safe mode' prompt, tap
    OK
     to confirm.
    This process may take up to 1 minute to complete.
    Upon reboot, 'Safe mode' appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.
  4. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
